Someone told me today that they just couldn’t get into my slow fashion magazines because they were too wordy.
There was a good reason initially for that. The articles were written with the intention of becoming a book.
But the real reason was more insidious.
You see, I made a critical error quite early in the process of sharing my writing and my art. I didn’t share who I truly was.
And in being very mysterious about myself, I subconsciously felt I had to over explain the topic at hand.
I knew I had erred when people began to ring me up and interview ME about slow fashion.
I am not an expert in anything; my interests are akin to those of a squirrel. Find a good story, hide it and pluck it from its hiding place just when a story is most needed.
A secretive nature is very useful when dealing with nature’s secrets. Trees, like most people, are loathe to tell stories to big mouths.
