Fashion schools have received a lot of criticism recently on this front; students are expected to be collaborative in a cut-throat environment, their designs should breathe new life into traditional techniques while being ahead of the next industry trends.
What happens when you’re too far ahead?
Well, that’s why I wanted to talk to Laoise Carey.
Laoise is a young Irish designer who runs her eponymous brand from her studio in Co. Tipperary.
She is a graduate of the National College of Art & Design, Dublin with a BA in Fashion Design.
Laoise’s designs have rightfully received much attention from the Irish press.
