The language is packed with panic, tinged with urgency. And I don’t think that response is necessarily incorrect.
Everyone knows something ain’t right.
While the next big SHOE waits to drop (and that’s exactly how I see it, a giant shoe in capitals) everyone is neatly exempted from doing what we can right here, right now.
Governments, sure.
But especially me.
So in the unexpected way beautiful thoughts arrive, I broke free from the normal gyre of panic and perfectionism and running naked towards the edge of my mind, I wondered what might happen if I just stopped.
Now I like to pride (yes, one of the seven deadly sins) myself on being ahead of the curve. In many ways I am.
But in this one, I’m late.
